season. JH sings and plays organ.
Friday, February 26, sometime after 8 PM. Union Temple of
Brooklyn, 17 Eastern Parkway. "Fourth Friday" lecture on the life
and work of Calvin Hampton, including discussion of my new book,
Calvin Hampton: A Musician Without Borders. PowerPoint
presentation included. Dinner at 7; Shabbat service and Oneg (and
presentation) at 8. All are welcome to all of the evening's events.

Spring Semester, 2011. JH is teaching aural skills at New York
University's Steinhardt School. It's a great honor and pleasure to
be again involved in this work, and especially to teach a course very
similar to those JH taught at the Indiana University Jacobs School of
Music.

southern German, Bohemia, and Italy. In celebration of "Tab's"
160th anniversary, and 30th anniversary of its chapel's Rieger
organ.

Montclair. The Art of the Viennese Piano. A solo piano recital
featuring Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, others. Free.
Sunday, March 25, 3 PM. Who Framed Bach's Toccata. A witty
and revolutionary look at the Toccata and Fugue in D minor, long
ascribed to Bach, now situated in its native South German context.
Music for organ and piano from Germany, Austria, Hungary,
Bohemia, Italy. Free.
Sunday March 11, 3 PM, Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church,
