In June of 2003, Jonathan Hall concluded an outstanding term as Newsletter Editor of the New York City Chapter, where he substantially raised the standards in professional communication in that very visible organization.   Without skipping a beat, he took the reins of editorship at the Brooklyn Bombarde, the newsletter serving the august Brooklyn Chapter of the AGO.

The April, 2003 issue of
The American Organist magazine carries a full-length article by Dr. Hall titled "Calvin Hampton and the Art of Recital Programing."   Another article was accepted for the October 2003 issue of The Tracker, titled "A Reservoir of Inspiration:  The Brooklyn Baptist Temple and Its Pipe Organs."  This Tracker also contained a contribution from Hall regarding the Springfield, Massachusetts civic organ--an important instrument and the focus of considerable debate.

In June, as part of his and William Powers' appearance in the Huntington Summer Festival of Church Music in Sudbury, Ontario, he was interviewed for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC); the interview was broadcast throughout the province.

This past July, he served with great success as a faculty member for the NYC Pipe Organ Encounter (POE), a program for young people interested in the King of Instruments.  Characteristically, he also gave careful attention to the registration, check-in, and chaperoning of the young people throughout the week.
