Brooklyn Chapter Members' Recital, February 26, 2006
Your faithful webmaster/paparazzo (/newsletter editor/sub-dean) didn't have his trusty digital camera today, so unfortunately there are no photographs to share of this event.
It's OK, because pictures can no more do justice to the music than words.
The two-hour-long event (which held virtually its entire audience till the last note) presented a breathtaking panoply of organ music by members of one of the most talented chapters in the Guild.
The 5-manual Skinner opus 524 was in good form and its new console was a joy to play.  Congratulations to Gregory Eaton for his faithful stewardship and unflagging musicianship, and for making the day possible in so many different ways.
Mother Angela Askew, Priest-In-Charge, is also due a large meed of praise for her support of the music ministry at this historic church.
