As of September, 2010, I left Saint John's Episcopal Church in Cornwall, New
York---a bittersweet farewell to a church I really love---and became Music Director
of Central Presbyterian Church, 46 Park Street, Montclair, New Jersey.

At Central, I play a fine four-manual pipe organ, with work by Skinner,
Aeolian-Skinner, and Austin in its history. I am blessed with an excellent choir and
a magnificent sanctuary and church facility.

I am presently teaching Music Theory at the Steinhardt School of New York
University. I enjoy this work very much.

When not engaged in these projects, I am usually at home, writing or researching.

I am an active volunteer in the American Guild of Organists. That's not
remunerative, but is certainly an essential aspect of my career.

I am particularly proud of my service in the Brooklyn Chapter, where I am Past
Dean; and of my more recent work in support of the Committee for Professional
Certification. Also, I love to write articles for
The American Organist, our official
journal.
