POWERS AND HALL FOURTH ANNUAL RECITAL AT GRACE CHURCH, RUTHERFORD
RUTHERFORD, NJ--The arts are alive and well in the hometown of William Carlos Williams! Not only is there a fabulous library and arts center (all of whom are abuzz with William's 125th birthday!), not only are there several wonderful churches, organs, and organists in town... Not only is there a delightful Farmers Market and restaurants that inspire pilgrimages from the City. The arts are also well-served by Jonathan Hall, since 2005 organist and choirmaster of Grace Episcopal Church on West Passaic Avenue.

Hall, an organ teacher who himself inspires more than one pilgrimage from the City, presents the fourth annual Fall Recital at this landmark church, joined by musical partner Bill Powers on classical saxophone.

The event is held on
ORGAN SPECTACULAR day, October 19, 2008, when the entire American Guild of Organists is emphasizing the beauty and ongoing role of the organ in our civic and spiritual lives.  Hall and Powers will highlight the beauty of the church's fine Austin pipe organ, and also intiate a new member of the family, their eighty-year-old Steinway grand piano. As usual, the Choir will provide a cheery reception afterwards. Please do come, and join us!
