Recent Work and Upcoming Projects
This summer has found Jonathan Hall very actively engaged on several professional fronts.

---
WRITING:  As his Calvin Hampton biography nears final editorial approval and publication, JH is at work on his second book, a biography of Leonard Raver (1927-1992). This is the continuation and completion of Mary Ann Dodd's unfinished project.

He has also published feature articles in the
Brooklyn Eagle, and has seen the publication of three articles in the American Organist.  Look in the May, 2007 issue for a tribute to his friend, the late Mary Ann Dodd; the June issue for an account of a major Jewish organ symposium at which he spoke; and the August issue for a review of Jewish organ music publications.

---
CONSULTING:  Hall continues a warm and productive relationship with a large multi-cultural Brooklyn church, where he is assisting in the design of a professional, full-time music ministry.  He is also about to come on board for an organ project in New England.

Jonathan Hall's many years of experience with organ and sacred music make him an ideal, unbiased, well-informed choice for an organ design or restoration project, or other church consulting work.

---
COMPOSING:  Perhaps not too surprisingly, JH is starting to blossom as a composer of well-crafted and very useful music for organ, piano, and keyboard.  Six of his solo compositions have been accepted for publication; details will be shared as their publication dates approach.

He has also been actively composing pieces for his church choir, including not only organ but also obbligato recorder.
