| Hall Named Webmaster of the Brooklyn Chapter of the American Guild of Organists |
| Jonathan Hall has been appointed Webmaster of the Brooklyn Chapter of the AGO, a smaller chapter serving the most densely populated borough of New York City. He takes over from long-serving (long-suffering!) webmaster George Mathison of Park Slope. As a provisional step, he has taken advantage of an offer of free webhosting from the National Office of the Guild, located on Riverside Drive in Manhattan. From that homepage, he has a link to a portion of his own website that contains photographs and text that "overflow" the standardized National format. Grateful acknowledgement is made to the National HQ of the Guild for providing such strong support for its chapters in the field. At some future date, the Chapter may elect to create an independent website of its own once again. For the meantime, the new website will be timely, informative, and accurate, and hopefully will introduce many new people to our work in the County of Kings. (UPDATE of 2006: The temporary website is finally replaced with a crude but working independent website of our own. Visit www.brooklynago.org!) |
