In Service to the Guild
BROOKLYN, NY, FALL 2006: Jonathan Hall, a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists and Dean of the Brooklyn Chapter, has been invited to serve on the Exhibits Committee for next July's Region II Convention.  He will be working with Brooklyn Chapter's Person of the Year laureate, the organ builder Ed Odell, who is chairing Exhibits for the event.

Hall's task includes contacting organ builders, music publishers, and members of other allied industries and working with them to obtain demo rooms or booth spaces in the Exhibition Hall. His colleagues have voiced great confidence in his diplomatic skills and affable personality as key ingredients in the success of the convention.

The Guild is divided into ten regions; Region II comprises the states of New York and New Jersey.  The Guild alternates annually between one national convention and a menu of regional conventions.

Hall's personal values put strong emphasis on service to church, community, and professional organizations.  He is always honored to assist when called on, particularly in the case of another chapter also serving New York City.

The Region II Convention will be held between July 1 and 5, 2007 in Manhattan.
