Welcome to the website of Jonathan B. Hall, a classical musician, writer,
and teacher in N
ew York City and upstate.  He is a keyboard artist at home
with piano, organ, and harpsichord, and is an engaging public speaker and
choral director.

An organist and sacred musician of many years' experience
, he earned the
Doctor of Music at the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University, and is
a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists. He teaches at the Steinhardt
School of Culture, Education, and Human Development of New York
University. He is also active in the American Guild of Organists, serving as
Director of the Committee on Professional Certification.
He directs the
music ministries of the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen, NY, in a
sacred space dating to 1870 and ornamented by Tiffany windows.

His articles and reviews often appear in journals such as TAO and other
professional journals
. He is active as a recitalist as well, performing solo
and with saxophonist
Bill Powers.
